As a studio, our role is to create a workplace where people are energized and empowered to not only do their best work but to continually surpass their best. We’ll push you out of your comfort zone to become the best version of you by giving you the ownership and creative freedom to solve our most challenging problems.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a world-class team of artists, game designers, and programmers, and create visual effects that will help develop an AAA gaming experience for our players.
As part of our FX team you will…
Design, create, and implement various visual effects and textures
Partner with the art and design teams to define the look for FX in one of our unannounced titles
Communicate closely with the programming team to refine and iterate on FX in-game
Produce art while working within the established style of the game
Hack through complex FX problems and solve them!
We’re looking for someone who has…
2+ years of experience creating special effects in either film or games
A degree or diploma in an art discipline (ex. 3D animation, Illustration, Design, Painting, etc.)
An exceptional portfolio that demonstrates a proficiency in 2D and 3D art
The ability to quickly learn proprietary FX tools and development processes
A deep passion to create polished, high quality work
Hustle, initiative and problem-solving skills (you’ll need to be someone who can be a self-starter and take ownership of your work!)
It’s a bonus if you have…
A background in animation
A love for games and strategy
A knowledge of how FX play a role in creating an immersive gaming environment
Please apply through this portal - you'll find the application below! Please tell us a bit about yourself, why you would be a good fit for the team, and provide a demo reel / portfolio with at least one example that demonstrates your process (include research, thumbnails, and colour studies).
What’s in it for you?
You’ll get to work at a fast-paced games studio environment that fosters continued growth and learning, and receive mentorship from seasoned artists that have worked on multiple AAA titles. You’ll be challenged to do your best work, and be inspired by similarly motivated and driven people at the studio. On top of that, we realize it takes world-class people to make world-class games, so we’ll compensate you competitively.
Regrettably, we are unable to interview all applicants. Please be patient while we review every application. We will get in touch with the applicants that best fit what we’re looking for, so please make sure you tell us about yourself and how you would like to contribute to our team.
