We are looking for a self-sufficient Senior Systems Administrator / Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer who will be the technical lead for our corporate global Linux Infrastructure. This engineer will be tasked with 3 main roles: manage Linux servers, provide backup support for our Windows infrastructure, and implement/administer various 3rd party products that will enable the business. The initial workload will be 50% Linux Administration, 30% Windows Administration, and 20% Application/Network/Security Administration. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who likes to be hands-on from designing, implementing, and administering solutions and is eager to learn.

Day to Day:
Architect, deploy, and maintain Linux/Windows systems, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and other core infrastructure components in a global enterprise environment.
Administer 3rd Party Applications e.g., Perforce, Unity, and Solarwinds
Ensure that the storage infrastructure is never the bottleneck and the data is safeguarded.
Implement and support next generation storage, servers, and network hardware to match company growth.
Diagnose, resolve, triage, or delegate problems as they arise with little supervision.
Ability to independently analyze problems, research potential technical solutions, evaluate alternatives, and present recommendations to the leadership team.
Analyze inefficiencies in the enterprise from a holistic view.
Collaborate across teams on detailed technical requirements, implementation approaches and problem solving.
Mentor fellow team members in areas of expertise.
Create documentation detailing procedures and controls.
Work to create process and procedures around technology.
Maintain updated system documentation and diagrams and create SOP as needed.
Provide periodic metrics and KPI’s to management.
This role is a senior-level SME position. The candidate who excels in this position will find a more integral role in infrastructure architecture and design as the company and IT infrastructure grows. Being part of the Infrastructure Team, your growth and responsibilities can also expand into Windows, Networking, Storage, and DevOps.
5+ years of SENIOR-LEVEL EXPERIENCE administering enterprise-class storage and Windows/Linux infrastructures.
Experience deploying and administering RHEL and CentOS Linux 6.0 and above or similar.
Experience administering Perforce at a global enterprise-level.
Detailed knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/2012 operating systems.
Senior-level proficiencies implementing and administering a global multi-cluster VMware vSphere ESXi 5 or above infrastructure.
Experience managing enterprise storage (e.g. SAN/NAS, NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and fibre channel) with multi-site footprint.
Experience with replicating data across the globe.
Working knowledge of VMware VM backup solution (e.g. Veeam, CommVault, and Symantec).
Experience implementing and administering an enterprise anti-virus solution (e.g. Symantec, McAfee, and Sophos).
Experience implementing and administering an enterprise-wide monitoring system for servers, networking devices, and applications.
Experience implementing cloud-based and on-premise enterprise applications.
Experience working under change management and SOX regulated environment.
Possess a personality to think outside the box and question the status quo with a continuous system improvement mindset.
Proven history of proactively taking ownership of projects and problems when they arise.
Proven ability to successfully navigate and perform in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment, and effectively multi-task multiple priorities in a team-oriented setting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently on projects and cooperatively with the rest of the team.
Experience with design/planning software (e.g. Microsoft Visio and NetBrain).
Desire to continue to develop skills with self-study and by attending vendor training/ conferences as well as company provided courses.
Availability to support a 24/7 operation is required.
Expected regular onsite work hours: 9-6PM Pacific Time.
Minimum travel might be required.
Experience working with source code software (e.g. Perforce, Subversion, and Git)
Experience administering Pure Storage, Dell Equallogic SAN/NAS, PowerEdge, and NetVault
Microsoft 2003/2008/2012 MCP, MCSA, MCSE Certifications.
