Obsidian Entertainment is looking for an experienced and talented Art Outsourcing Manager to join our Armored Warfare development team.

The Art Outsourcing Manager will be responsible for selecting assigning and guiding the work of external groups of developers and vehicle artists. They will be expected to build and maintain strong collaborative working relationship internal developers and outsourcers, ensuring the on-time delivery of high quality assets. Using their expert artistic knowledge of shape, form, proportions, and mechanical know-how, the Art Outsourcing Manager will review, critique, and compare highly technical vehicle assets against visual quality goals, technical advisor guidelines, and image reference of real-world vehicle and weapon systems, to write and deliver clear and comprehensive feedback back to outsourcers.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate and direct outsourcers
Gathering materials and reference images in order to ensure proper builds of assets
Actively participate in technical and aesthetic problem solving discussions
Write up clearly defined feedback and notes to ensure asset quality
Complete work under reasonable deadlines

Requirements:
High proficiency with 3ds Max
4-year degree form an accredited college or university or equivalent industry experience
Knowledge of high and low poly hard-surface modeling skills, with demonstrated skill in baking and render-to-texture techniques
Knowledge of hard surface modeling and concern with how functional things are manufactured and assembled
2+ years in the game industry with 1 or more shipped titles
Ability to rapidly master proprietary tools and development pipelines
Ability to be resourceful and come up with creative solutions
Must be receptive to art direction and critiques from project art leads and team
Strong organizational and communication skills
Passion for gaming

Pluses:
Experience with a game level editor i.e. Unreal, Crytek, etc.
Background in mechanical engineering or industrial design
Examples of hard surface modeling
Knowledge and insight of modern military vehicles and weapon systems
