To help achieve this ambition we are looking for a 3D Generalist to create highly realistic 3D environment and vehicle assets for our Flight Simulation game, and to help set its visual bar. Reporting to the Lead Artist, you will ideally be a highly creative and multi-talented artist, capable of thriving in a small, close-knit development team. You will create a wide variety of 3D game content using 3DS Max, Photoshop and other industry-standard tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality 3D art on-time and within budget
  • Collaborate with the other artists to create realistic PBR game assets
  • Adeptly model environmental and hard-surface assets from photo-reference
  • Adapt to the project needs, learning new software packages and workflows where necessary
Person Specifications:
  • Experience with a variety of programs including 3DS Max, Photoshop (plus ideally ZBrush & Substance Painter)
  • Ability to create 3D assets to a high standard
  • Flexibility – ability to perform well within a broad range of areas
  • Competent at working effectively within a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to apply the principals of art theory to portray light, colour, and form
  • Experience creating textures for a Physically-Based Rendering (PBR) engine
  • At-least one year’s experience creating 3D art in the video game industry
  • Self-motivated and possessing a desire to continue learning
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your most recent work
  • At-least one shipped PC or console title
  • Great communicator and team player
  • Some background in traditional art is very beneficial
  • An interest in aviation and aircraft design is very beneficial
  • BA (Hons) degree in Animation, CGI, Game Art, Illustration or a related field is very beneficial
  • Experience rigging, skinning and animating vehicles and/or characters is very beneficial
  • Extensive environment art and/or vehicle art experience is very beneficial
