Position Overview

The Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for all aspects of the Sports Interactive IT Infrastructure and operations. The Infrastructure Administrator is also responsible for ensuring the Infrastructure and IT operations comply with the SEGA IT Security Policies as well as to vendor best practices and standard industry best practices for IT Infrastructure.The paramount requirement is the ability to think and act logically. To understand the nature of the tasks at hand and to act promptly to solve issues or design systems whilst keeping in mind the effect his or her actions might have on other systems. The following technical skillset is required

- Maintain internal infrastructure hardware and software including but not limited to:

- Physical Server equipment
- Blade Chassis & Servers (HP c series blades)
- 3Par, Netapp & Nimble Storage Equipment
- iSCSI storage technologies
- Vmware & Ideally HyperV systems

- Design, build implement and support to a high standard.
- VMWare resource planning experience
- VMWare capacity planning experience
- Physical to virtual migration abilities
- Very good documentation skills

- Microsoft server stack

- Windows Server 2008R2 and higher
- SCCM and SCOM 2012 R2
- Active directory
- Group Policy
- Exchange 2016 including clustering experience
- Experience support and maintaining an o365 platform
- SQL Clustering experience (design, migration and support)
- Microsoft Windows desktop editions XP and higher
- Server resource planning experience

- Veeam Backup & Replication experience

- Ability to think through and define backup, replication and recovery techniques

- Very good problem solving techniques and experience
- Ability to provide escalated (L2 & L3) support but the willingness to assist with level 1 support tasks
- Provide support and guidance to the rest of the studio around IT Infrastructure operations and infrastructure security questions
- Maintain an up to date IT equipment asset list
- Balance the need for IT Infrastructure security against the business needs and business priorities
- Keep abreast of trends and changes that relate to IT Infrastructure operations & infrastructure security
- Knowledge of the following development systems will be highly beneficial:

- Perforce
- Test Track pro
- Team City
- Application Build Systems

The following non-technical skills are required:

- A proven methodical approach to systems management
- A willingness to get involved and to work occasional long or unsocial hours
- To become an integral and valued member of a small team with a real impact on the ability of the studio to create and iterate the games we produce.
- A creative flair when managing IT systems on limited budgets and the ability to demonstrate creative cost effective solution building techniques.  

 Preferred Vendor Qualifications:

- Microsoft Server 2012 MCSA (MCSE preferred)
- Exchange Server 2013/2016 MCP
- VMWare VCP 5.5/6.0
