At Gameloft Montreal, you’ll be working with the world’s best game developers. Our studio has developed, and continues to develop, hit titles that include the Dungeon Hunter, Modern Combat and Gangstar series.

We are currently looking for a Senior Technical Game Designer to work closely with the Game Designer and Lead Programmer to help them implement all of the game’s interactive elements.

From the beginning of your adventure with us, you will be tasked with:

Taking part in planning the content-integration process, as well as the development of tools and scripts to that same end and also being responsible of ensuring that game and level designers have all the elements in place to allow them to work in an optimal fashion.
Integrating all interactive elements (images, animations, sounds, gameplay, etc.)
Scripting cinematics and events
Defining the locations of interactive objects and enemies
Creating a list of useful tools for level design
Creating a strict nomenclature to simplify group work
Double-checking all content added to games to ensure quality and conformity
Adjusting animations or graphics upon request
Testing in-game functions
Preparing prototypes and storyboards for certain parts of a game
Entering data related to game content
Preparing presentation and design documents

Experience and qualifications:

Collegial degree or higher in a related field
More than 2 years’ experience in gaming in a similar position
Excellent knowledge of multiple script languages such as C# or Lua
Good knowledge of game editors (e.g. Unity, Crytek, Unreal, etc.)
Strong knowledge of 3D Studio Max or Maya
Excellent organizational skills and methodology
Good communication skills and able to work in a team
Fluency in English and French both oral and written (an asset)
