QUANTIC DREAM is looking for a Senior Character Rigger to join its Character department, dedicated to creation and development of high quality 3D real-time characters. The candidate should be talented, communicative, dynamic and motivated with very good experience in scripting and rigging techniques. You will work within the Character team which includes the following trades: Modeling / Textures, Skin, Setup, Rig, Dynamic Real-Time Simulation, and you will be in direct contact with Animation / mocap, Tools and Engine teams. You will be responsible for the development of rigs used to animate realistic characters based primarily on the motion capture. You will develop both body and face rigs. According to the phases of production you may need to work also on the skin / setup part. Development of tools, process and pipeline improvement and writing specifications will be a large part of your duties. You will develop tool to help with the smooth flow of data between Motion Builder and Maya.. You will be in direct contact with animators and you must demonstrate a high level of listening and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills are also essential.
• At least 5 years of experience in the development of video games or animated films. • At least 5 years of experience in the development of video games or animated films. • Good knowledge of Maya, Motion Builder, C + +, Python and Mel. • Experience in developing tools for animation and motion capture. • Experience in procedural rigging. • Participation in the production of a AAA game or an animated movie, including rigging and scripting. • Experience in a photo-realistic style. • Experience in the development of pipelines. • An understanding of new techniques for rigging is a plus. • A thorough understanding of human anatomy. • Adaptability to different animation styles.
