Frontier is looking for a Digital Designer to join our growing team in Cambridge, UK.
As a Digital Designer, your main responsibility is the creation and delivery of a range of cross-platform digital work. From responsive websites and emails, to advertising banners, and mobile / tablet apps, the role involves working closely with other creatives and developers, both individually and as part of a team.
Years of experience are not a prerequisite. Instead, it is all about your creative and design capability and demonstrable experience. The types of project size you’ve worked on, your knowledge of emerging trends and the fundamentals of graphic design are key.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to
The full project lifecycle – from brief and pitch to creation and build of a range of cross-platform design work.
Working collaboratively with other creatives and developers to deliver digital output of the highest quality, to meet a brief.
Staying on track with emerging digital trends and culture, attending events and engaging with the wider digital creative community.
Articulating and presenting creative ideas / treatments to internal teams.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience in designing cutting-edge responsive websites and / or apps, and digital campaigns (including advertising banners and emails).
An exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative digital design concepts and highly considered visual executions.
Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically, but not limited to, PhotoShop and Illustrator).
Extensive knowledge / understanding of HTML and CSS, including preprocessors.
Proven understanding of typography, layout, colour, and grid structures.
High attention to detail.
Some knowledge of PHP.
Experience using CMS’, including Drupal.
An understanding of version control systems.
