The Challenge Ahead:
Reporting to the Head of Product Marketing you will drive the creation and execution of world class, fully integrated marketing campaigns for our football titles & live services (FIFA / FUT), which support the achievement and exceeding of revenue goals and communication objectives.
What a Senior Product Marketing Manager does at EA:
Campaign Planning, Execution and Category Expertise:
Preparation and delivery of marketing briefs to internal and external teams
Development, presentation and execution of Go to Market plans
Review and recommend business and brand alliance opportunities
Develop expert product knowledge on EA and competitor releases with the ability to demonstrate software to internal sales and marketing teams, retailers, and external agency and business partners
Develop expert knowledge and report on category, customers & competitors, including weekly tracking & trend analysis with recommendations
Allocate cross-departmental campaign budgets and ensure accurate tracking and phasing
Create and publish full campaign post-mortems
Support EA’s strategic play in developing competitive gaming (eSports) opportunities as a platform to engage with our players.
Support centrally and locally created Partnership opportunities as they develop on the products within the roles portfolio
Proactively liaising with the Head of Product Marketing to ensure appropriate resource is available and ready to support our football business.
FUT Product Marketing specific focus:
Driving Acquisition & Engagement while supporting Monetisation of FUT across UK & Ireland (UKI), working closely with the Central Marketing Organisation (CMO) & Studio Teams.
Delivering a season long calendar of weekly FUT marketing support aligned around localised global studio originated beats as well as co-ordinating in game implementation with studio for locally created beats that all dove tail with our FIFA CMP for the year.
Weekly business metric reporting using sports bar and any other systems as appropriate, flagging challenges, opportunities and offering up solutions
Partnering with retail and 1st party to drive our FUT digital business harder through their channels
Liaising with clubs / talent to exploit weekly opportunities from in game promotions e.g. TOTW.
Attending weekly calls and quarterly councils to ensure the UKI consumer and business voice is represented.
You will also be responsible for supporting the retail and commercial teams, and the development & maintenance of relationships with key partners, licensors and fellow licensees as appropriate. Delivering product marketing briefs to agency partners and ensuring the timely delivery and execution of plans. Define media briefs in collaboration with our local Head of Media Innovation and deliver these to our internal product, live service media planning teams and external media agency, to develop and execute optimal media plans across all media channels. Management & ongoing tracking of budget with UKI Finance partners. Coordinate marketing materials (assets) and ensure on-time delivery to suppliers and external partners.
UK based role, with frequent UK travel & occasional international travel.
EA adopts a flexible approach to working hours however, occasional out of hours and weekend working may be required.
The next great EA Senior Product Marketing Manager also needs:
Data driven, digital native marketer who is adept at turning insight into actions quickly
Proven track record in video games, sports, entertainment marketing or other related industries
Educated to degree level and/or relevant marketing qualification
Strong knowledge of the wider sports entertainment landscape essential (particularly English football). Experience working with football clubs/leagues is beneficial.
Appreciation of the videogames industry/market (particularly FIFA, FUT) and sports fan
Proven experience in the management of agency and partner relationships
Strong commercial acumen with experience of budget management
Proven ability to coordinate multiple marketing functions and agencies to ensure delivery of integrated & on-message campaigns
Ability to work alongside and present to senior management
