We are Criterion. We love games.

Over the last fifteen years we’ve entertained millions of players around the world with our award-winning and massively entertaining games. We are a team of talented people who craft games with joy, passion, and commitment to quality.
At Criterion, we place enormous value on creative collaboration, fresh ideas, and unique perspective. Our studio is a healthy mix of industry veterans and newcomers working together to inspire, support, and educate one another.

The Challenge Ahead:

We are looking for creative, collaborative and passionate people to help us build great-looking worlds sculpted for gameplay. We are always involved with the many inspirational projects from across EA and having a blast developing our own IP, so we need world-class artists who can produce high quality, breath-taking environments built for fun that support the most rewarding and ranging experiences.

What a World Artist does at Criterion:

Working with Lead Artists under the direction of the Art Director and guided by concept art, a Criterion World Artist is expected to deliver cutting edge visuals whilst retaining the open-world gameplay and exploration crafted by the world designers.
Complimentary technical skills are also required to both understand the limitations and be able to exploit the opportunities, of engines and hardware. A broad range of creative and technical interests is also much appreciated.

A World Artist also needs:

The ability to create high-quality 3D world art, with a structured, creative approach;
Proven experience in a Level Art role;
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of open-world gameplay constraints and visual language to support rewarding player experiences;
Experience of working on AAA console or PC open-world titles is preferable;
A willingness to work in our highly collaborative and friendly environment.

What’s in it for you? Glad you asked!

We realize it takes world-class people to make world-class games, so we offer competitive compensation packages and a culture that thrives off of creativity and individuality.
