At Gameloft Montreal, you’ll be working with the world’s best game developers. Our studio has developed, and continues to develop, hit titles that include the Dungeon Hunter, Modern Combat and Gangstar series.

We are currently looking for a R&D Programmer/Data scientist to complete our Research and Development team.

From the beginning of your adventure with us, you will be tasked with:

Developing data models and frameworks, and drawing from data sources in order to increase the monetization of our games
Analyzing large data sets to inform capital optimization decisions, define and build capabilities, and enhance revenue opportunities for our games
Designing and build large and complex data sets from structured and unstructured data sources
Designing and implement statistical data quality procedures for new data sources
Working with game programming teams to develop algorithms/software for accessing and handling data appropriately
Visualizing and reporting data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats that appropriately provide insights to the organization

Experience and qualifications:

Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering or other quantitative disciplines, with a solid foundation in modeling, statistics, analytics and math
A few years’ hands-on data analytics experience in a matrixed environment (an asset)
Experience with terabytes of structured and unstructured data sets, hypothesis testing and development of predictive models
SQL, fluent programming in Python and C++ (an asset)
Knowledge of R, SASS, SPSS (an asset)
Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data mining algorithms (an asset)
Ability to apply statistical principles to data analytics
Highly motivated with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
