Relic Entertainment, a wholly owned studio of SEGA, is the award winning RTS developer of Homeworld, Dawn of War and Company of Heroes, and we’re on the hunt for a permanent, full-time Data Scientist to join our technical team at our studio in Vancouver. As our Data Scientist you will…
-Be a key part of the technical ecosystem we are creating to drive business and game design decisions
-Lead the design, build and stability of several portions of the technical environment that is used by our end users when they are engaging in analysis
-Develop data, process and network models to optimize technical architecture, evaluate performance and ensure reliability of designs
-Provide actionable insight through gathering, analyzing and visualizing large game and commercial data sets
-Develop and maintain our internal tools and reporting, data mining and multiple applications
-Identify and analyze problems so that you’re able to implement solutions that make our technical systems better
-Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to large datasets while developing complex data models
-Liaise with our server programming team to continually improve our technical environment and ultimately, our games!
We’re looking for someone who has…
-Master’s Degree in computer science, mathematics or a related field
-3+ years of experience in analytical programming, application architecture or data science
-Expertise in multiple large computing platforms (AWS, MS Azure, Tableau)
-Extensive experience with machine learning, algorithms and techniques used to design computing systems
-A passion for getting up and presenting findings to groups in an engaging manner
-An ability to not get stuck in analysis but use a variety of intuitive, logical, and creative methods when approaching problems
