We are seeking an experienced and passionate problem-solver to create the bridge between our Art and our Development departments. You will be closely working in a collaborative environment of artists, designers, and programmers and will be researching new ways to improve the visual quality within the technical limitation of the chosen platform.

Responsibilities:

- Act as a bridge between the Programming and Art team, supporting the communication and understanding between the disciplines

- Develop shader and effects together with engine developers

- Analyzing and improving rendering performance

- Improving quality (effects, animation, physics)

- Writing scripts to automate processes

- Assists in designing tools/process solutions and pipelines for artists and designers.

- Reports to the art director while keeping a direct line to the lead engineer

Requirements:

- Bachelors degree or higher in art or computer science or equivalent experience

- Knowledge of 3D Studio MAX, Photoshop

- Modeling and texturing experience is preferred

- Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude

- 2+ years as a Technical Artist (or similar role) on games

- Unity experience is a big plus

- English ndash; fluent (written and verbally)

- Experience with Flash Platform, Stage3D, AGAL shader programming, Away3D engine is a plus

- preferred is experience with Allegorithmic Substance or an alternative texture creation tool

- Passion for Sci-fi and games
