Obsidian Entertainment is seeking an excited and passionate recruiter to join our studio.
Focusing on hiring top industry talent, our ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and internal management. You will be directly controlling, influencing, impacting, and managing recruiting services. Driving sourcing strategies, identifying and planning process improvements, understanding and driving improvements to studio culture and employee morale, and partnering with leadership to execute these critical components of talent acquisition.
Solely handling full-cycle recruiting, sourcing and building relationships with active and passive talent, event management and attendance, as well as other external outreach and advocacy efforts for the studio and recruiting department.
Independently screening applicant resumes and portfolios to measure qualifications and submitting qualified individuals to internal managers for review.
Arranging and facilitating interviews including scheduling, performing phone screens, working directly with candidates and internal managers, and arranging travel for visiting candidates.
Handling candidate data entry, tracking, and pipeline iteration using our internal system.
Managing candidate offers, including negotiations, from start to finish.
Working with exectutives and internal managers to confirm requirements for open positions to build and coordinate postings on job boards, print ads, our website, and other sources.
Handling onboarding of new hires within the studio.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with key vendors, external recruiters, educational organizations, and other sourcing partners.
Working with executives and internal managers regularly to understand and drive consistent improvements to studio culture.
2+ years recruiting and/or HR function experience in the tech or game development industry.
Strong communication skills and previous experience in a role that deomonstrates the ability to maintain a high-level of confidentiality and discretion.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work with multiple teams in a high volume environment with attention to detail.
Ability to work under minimal supervision, handling decision making, negotiating, budgets, and terms of offers.
Understanding local laws and compliance, acting within legal guidelines and advising on interviewing and hiring best practices throughout the hiring cycle.
Demonstrating consistent follow-through and building and sustaining relationships with active and passive candidates.
Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and experiences with an applicant tracking system.
Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
Previous experience in a fast-paced environment focused around customer support or internal coordination of meetings, schedules, travel, and/or hiring.
BA/BS degree in Business, Communications, Human Resources or related discipline preferred (Associate's Degree and 4+ years of quality, pertinent experience acceptable).
This opportunity is for a full-time position on-site at our Irvine, CA office.
