This isn't your typical animation gig; you'll be working with an exceptionally talented team of animators, programmers and artists that is passionately creating a next generation mobile title. You'll draw upon your extensive knowledge of animation techniques to give life to the game's characters, creatures, objects and environments . And just like GREE, you'll elevate the game by ensuring that our game's elements have balance, emotion and seamless movement that our customers will love.
More about you
The animator we're seeking will have a commercial AAA quality portfolio with examples of character (human and non-human) animations and a diverse range of art styles and techniques. We'd love it if you had complex animation experience across rigid and organic models and a solid grasp of the principles of body movement, anticipation, overshoot, follow-through, squash and stretch and other facets of both 2D and 3D animation.
Technical skills aside, our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a high degree of self motivation and discipline and an ability to take direction and constructive feedback in a positive manner. You would describe yourself as a team player, problem solver and creative thinker - rolled into one.
To be considered for this role, you'll need to demonstrate the following capabilities:
- Produce high quality animations under the supervision of the Art Director
- Apply a solid understanding of the fundamentals of art and design
- Be imaginative and creative with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excel at the Principles of Animation with high quality timing, weight and acting skills
- Demonstrate excellent skills and understanding of character motion in a range of styles
- Clearly show experience with facial animation, mesh rigging and point weighting.
