Job summary:
Under the supervision of the Studio Intelligence Director, the BI Developer collaborates in the design, implementation and maintenance of several quantitative data related to the operations and productions. Specifically, he acts as a data management specialist and develops tools and methodologies related to the operations of the studio and project development.

Responsibilities:
Take part in the management of current and future needs of the data design (architecture);
Translate the business needs into data for analyst;
Design and implement the extraction and transformation of the data (ETL);
Track the performance of the ETL and identify the causes of failures or anomalies (production support);
Conduct thorough testing on changes to the ETL code to ensure the quality of the data produced;
Identify and communicate potential problems in order to avoid degradation in system performance;
Act as an expert on business intelligence technologies for key users (the data-analysts);
Participate in the definition of standards and write technical documentation;
Carry out all other related tasks.

Education and relevant experience:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in business intelligence for a specific technology or any other relevant experience.

Technical skills:
Experience with large databases and business intelligence;
Experience with ETL development tools: Pentaho, SSIS, Informatica, oozie, Luigi, other;
Extensive knowledge of SQL, performance analysis and optimization of SQL queries and the data structure design.

Other Skills:
Experience data technologies and processing of data: Hadoop, Amazon Redshift, Apache Hive, Cloudera Impala, Apache Spark, Vertica or similar technologies;
Experience with Java, JavaScript, Scala, C, C ++ or C #;
Experience in the video game industry (an asset);
Able to adapt to change and take initiative;
Be flexible in the organization of its work;
Bilingualism (French-English).
