The Ubisoft Quebec team is looking for a dynamic, creative, collaborative, eager to learn person to help in creating game sequences for one of its main franchises!
In this position, you will have to imagine and create fun game sequences while offering innovative challenges to players. You will also have to collaborate with different trades such as designers, programmers, artists, animators and many others to create immersive, outstanding and unforgettable game sequences for the player.
What does a level designer actually do?
Design game sequences with tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Google SketchUp or a plain good old paper sheet.
Bring these sequences throughout every production stage until its final form, which is the best game in the world.
Be the resource person, the czar of these game sequences in order to answer other collaborators questions, while ensuring high quality levels.
Iterate quickly and often to make sure that players will absolutely love these sequences.
Create clear and concise documents to explain about everything you can think of.
Resolve complex problems at speed light while finding creative solutions.
Translate the gamers’ comments in creative solutions to implement in the game.
You get a head start if:
You have minimum 7 years experience in the video game industry
Worked on 2 AAA projects .
You have background knowledge in arts, programming, interior design or architecture.
