Senior Game Designer - Triternion
Following the huge success of our debut title Mordhau, Triternion is expanding as we begin production on our next game. We are currently seeking a talented Senior Game Designer to join the team in our Ljubljana studio. For the right candidate, a remote option is available, provided you’re based within an EU time zone.
In this role, you will work as part of the game design team, working on core systems, mechanics, and moment-to-moment gameplay. You'll own significant design pillars, collaborate across disciplines, and help shape our creative direction .
Responsibilities:
- Design and iterate gameplay systems, progression loops, and player-facing features from concept through to launch
- Work directly in balance sheets to tune and maintain game economy and stats
- Create and configure new in-game assets, ensuring they're designed, balanced, and integrated to a high standard
- Translate high-level creative vision into detailed, actionable design documentation
- Work closely with engineering, art, and production to bring mechanics to life
- Conduct and interpret playtests, using data and player feedback to drive decisions
- Contribute to the studio's design language and long-term product vision
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in game design.
- Deep understanding of player psychology, engagement loops, and game feel
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities
- Extensive knowledge of Unreal engine
- Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and an inspiring strong work ethic
- Excellent written and spoken English
