The S1 Legal & Administration Line functions as the backbone support system for corporate security, legal affairs, government affairs, administrative affairs, procurement, infrastructure, and corporate social responsibility.
What the Role Entails
Job responsibilities:
- Serve as lead product counsel for core Thailand-market products, owning end-to-end legal and compliance strategy across the full product lifecycle.
- Lead local content compliance governance, including taking ownership of interpreting Thai regulations on content standards, advertising, data privacy and platform liability; design and roll out localized compliance frameworks for UGC review, third-party content licensing and high-risk content escalation mechanisms.
- Own the drafting, review and negotiation of complex, non-standard commercial agreements across content ecosystem, including cross-border co-production deals, multi-territory IP licensing arrangements, high-value creator/influencer partnerships, and strategic vendor contracts.
- Act as primary point of contact for local external counsel and cross-functional stakeholders, delivering forward-looking, business-aligned advice on emerging regulatory issues such as content censorship reform, IP enforcement, consumer protection and cross-border data transfer compliance.
- Proactively identify systemic Thailand-specific legal and compliance risks, design actionable, scalable mitigation strategies for business leadership, and lead response for major content-related disputes, regulatory investigations and crisis incidents.
- Manage strategic local legal projects independently, including entity setup/restructuring, government relations coordination, and localization of group-wide compliance policies for Thailand market.
Who We Look ForKey expectations and criteria:
- Graduated from a top-tier law school with outstanding academic credentials; advanced background in media, intellectual property or TMT-related fields is highly preferred.
- 8+ years PQE, with proven track record at top law firms, multinational tech companies or leading local enterprises, specializing in content regulation, TMT transactions, digital platform compliance or Southeast Asian regulatory practice.
- Demonstrated strategic business judgment, able to balance legal risk control with product growth objectives, and deliver solutions for complex, ambiguous regulatory scenarios.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience building trusted partnerships with senior business leaders, Thai regulators and external legal advisors.
- Proven ability to lead multiple priorities in high-speed environment, own independent decision-making on material compliance matters, and manage large-scale, cross-team transaction processes end-to-end.
- Extensive experience operating in fast-evolving digital content industry, with strong adaptability to rapid shifts in regulatory and business requirements.
- Native-level proficiency in Thai and fluent professional proficiency in English (written and oral) as working languages.
