What the Role Entails
Join Tencent IEG Global and help shape the future of gaming through data. As a Data Engineer Associate, you'll build and maintain cutting-edge data platforms that power insights for some of the world's most popular games, reaching millions of players globally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain gaming data platforms and pipelines for real-time and batch processing
• Lead data warehouse modeling and analysis for gaming-related data products
• Optimize ETL/ELT processes for high-volume gaming data streams
• Collaborate with game developers and product teams to deliver actionable insights
Who We Look For
Required Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, graduating between January 2025 and December 2026
• Strong programming foundation with knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and system design
• Proficiency in Python/Java/Go and advanced SQL skills
• Experience with relational and distributed database systems
• Familiarity with big data ecosystems (Spark/Flink/Kafka) is preferred
• Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with popular cloud services (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Passion for the gaming industry
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
• Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to strive in a high-paced and dynamic working environment
