Do you have UI design experience, and are you seeking a new job in Amsterdam? Skillsearch is helping a gaming studio recruit a UI Designer, and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package, including an allowance to cover mandatory health insurance.

As a UI Designer, you will create and implement UI assets, including icons, buttons, menus, and HUD elements, using industry-standard tools.

In your first few weeks in this UI Designer role, you can expect to:

  • Collaborate with the game design team to understand the game mechanics, user needs, and goals of the project 

  • Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of UI layouts and interactions 

  • Collaborate on user testing processes and iterate on designs based on feedback and data 

  • Optimise the UI for usability, accessibility, and performance on PC and console platforms. 

To apply for this UI Designer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

  • A solid understanding of design principles, user-centred design, and game development processes 

  • Proficiency in industry-standard UI design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator or Figma 

  • Experience with Unreal Engine and its UI-related tools and integration pipeline.
