A prestigious organisation is looking for an R&D Software Engineer for a permanent role based in Munich. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leader in extended reality (XR) solutions for entertainment and enterprise, transforming virtual experiences globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software requirements from customer requirement and/or system requirement - Update and upgrade software and examine operations of R&S equipment.
- Derive requirements for interfaces between software components from system and software architecture.
- Implement unit tests and automated regression tests to ensure software quality.
- Participate in design and code reviews.
- Perform build, release, and install duties to deploy the software.
- Proactively define requirements with customers and internal partners.
- Analyse and incorporate change requests into the software requirements.
- Continuously improve the software requirement engineering process.
Key Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in VR/AR or game development.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as C++, C#, or Unreal Engine.
- Familiarity with VR-specific technologies, such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or OpenVR.
- Experience with real-time graphics programming, 3D mathematics, and shader development.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Passion for VR technology and a drive to push the boundaries of what is possible.
