Join a remote‑first game development studio working on a new MMO, where you will design and implement the entire corporate IT and security foundation. This is a high‑impact leadership role focused on building systems, processes and policies from the ground up to support a growing, international team.
About the role
You will lead corporate IT and information security across the organisation, owning systems, tools, policies and processes that enable teams to work efficiently and securely. In an early‑stage environment, you will define standards, select technologies and establish scalable operations across identity, devices, SaaS platforms and security governance. You will work closely with leadership and cross‑functional teams to ensure IT supports both business operations and future growth.
What you'll do
- Own identity and access management systems including SSO, MFA and lifecycle automation
- Manage device fleets across macOS, Windows and mobile with MDM, patching and security controls
- Administer SaaS platforms across productivity, HR, finance and development tooling
- Design onboarding and offboarding processes for secure and efficient access management
- Define and implement information security policies across data, systems and users
- Lead compliance initiatives such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 and GDPR readiness
- Establish incident response processes including detection, containment and post‑incident review
- Build and maintain IT processes including access reviews, procurement and change management
- Manage vendors, contracts and IT/security budgets
- Provide internal IT support and scale support models as needed
- Collaborate with engineering, finance and people teams on systems, tools and security alignment
- Represent IT and security in leadership discussions and strategic planning
What we're looking for
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in IT, including 3+ years in a leadership role
- Proven experience building IT and security functions from an early stage
- Experience managing distributed or remote‑first environments
- Experience leading compliance and security initiatives (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Experience managing vendors, tools and IT budgets
Skills
- Strong knowledge of identity and access management systems
- Experience with endpoint management and MDM solutions
- Expertise in SaaS administration and system integration
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals and security principles
- Ability to design scalable IT processes and governance frameworks
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management across technical and non‑technical teams
Nice to have
- Experience in game development or creative studios
- Familiarity with DevOps and engineering environments
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer
- Experience working with auditors or compliance reviews
- Experience with ERP or HRIS systems
