At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what's next.

The Role:

We are seeking a Physical Assets Specialist to support projects in the UCAN (USA, Canada) region.

The Physical Assets team, a part of Production Services, manages the tracking of physical creative assets through their production life-cycle; from time of purchase or manufacture at a project level to its final use phase. Physical creative assets are used for a variety of Studio needs including Marketing and PR use, reuse within the Netflix ecosystem and archival preservation. The role will work closely with both freelance crews and Netflix cross-functional teams to track and manage physical creative assets for Production, Marketing, Publicity, Archival and other Studio needs.

A successful candidate will be a passionate, self-motivated, quick-thinker who is able to juggle, pivot and prioritize multiple responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail. This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone proactive and positive, with the ability to communicate, digest and organize complex information from multiple sources.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Netflix productions and Internal Partners cross all phases - prep, production, wrap, post, launch, and final strike
  • Coordinate with vendors, crew, and logistics teams for the reuse, liquidation, disposal, and shipment of Physical Assets
  • Onboard crew to Asset and Continuity Tracking documents and software; schedule meetings and trainings and provide day-to-day support
  • Audit Asset and Continuity Tracking documents and software to ensure data integrity and receipt of deliverables for ingestion into the global asset database
  • Facilitate the loan of Physical Assets for promotional use
  • Pull, package, and organize Physical Assets from the Netflix Archive and third-party storage facilities
  • Partner with the Netflix Archive team to ensure Physical Assets are selected, received, and properly documented
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of internal cross-functional workflows
  • Travel between the Los Angeles office, studios, productions, and storage facilities as required

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years previous studio experience or hands-on office or set experience in feature film or television production required
  • Proficiency with data management tools (familiarity with Airtable, Slack, FileMaker Pro, Sync On Set and Asset Hub beneficial but not required)
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar and Mail), ability to learn new software and technologies
  • Willingness to continue learning to ensure understanding of current production process and contribute to new workflows
  • Effective communication skills, which may include written, visual, and/or verbal communication, for engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and curious - comfortable learning new software, technologies, and evolving production workflows
  • Ability to work in warehouse environments, including using appropriate equipment, and following safety procedures.
  • Ability and willingness to lift ~30 lbs
