Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
The Opportunity:
Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, bringing exceptional stories to audiences in more than 190 countries. As Netflix enters its second decade in India, we are building on ten years of redefining streaming entertainment, championing Indian storytelling and helping local stories find audiences around the world.
Today, Netflix's role in India extends far beyond entertainment. We invest in creators, strengthen the country's creative ecosystem, partner with government and industry, and help shape conversations around storytelling, culture, technology and the future of entertainment.
This is an opportunity to join the Communications team at a defining moment in Netflix India's journey. You'll help shape the reputation of one of the world's most influential entertainment brands while working at the intersection of storytelling, business, policy, culture and technology. No two days are the same. One day you could be advising senior leaders on a complex reputational issue. Next, you're helping launch a landmark series, shaping a public policy narrative, working with journalists on a major business story, or partnering with our content teams to tell the story behind India's next global hit.
If you enjoy solving complex communications challenges, building narratives that influence perception, and working with extraordinary people across disciplines, you'll love this role.
The Role:
We're looking for a communications leader with exceptional judgement, curiosity and strong strategic instincts. This is not a specialist role. We're looking for a communications generalist-someone who has successfully managed a broad range of corporate, consumer, executive, reputation and issues-led communications, and understands how those disciplines come together to build trust in a brand.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing long-term communications strategies, navigating high-profile issues, advising senior leaders, and rolling up their sleeves to execute.
A strong understanding of India's media and entertainment ecosystem is important not because we expect an expert in entertainment, but because the ability to understand the broader cultural landscape, industry dynamics and stakeholder environment is essential to succeeding in this role.
The successful candidate will bring approximately 13-15 years of communications experience across agency, corporate or media environments, ideally working with high-profile brands, complex reputational issues and senior stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
Keep Calm and waka waka...
