We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a highly skilled and collaborative team working on one of the biggest casual mobile titles on the market. This hybrid role is based in Southern Spain, and is perfect for someone with strong Unity and C# expertise who thrives in live game environments.
As a Senior Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in building and optimizing core game systems while collaborating with designers, artists, and QA to deliver smooth, high-quality experiences for millions of players. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to shape features, tools, and workflows that drive the game forward.
What you'll be doing:
- Implementing online game mechanics and systems using Unity and C#.
- Optimizing performance to deliver a best-in-class gameplay experience.
- Collaborating closely with designers, artists, and QA to bring new features to life.
- Supporting live game operations and troubleshooting issues.
- Building tools and pipelines that empower internal teams to create exciting new gameplay experiences.
- Reviewing code and technical designs to maintain high engineering standards.
What we're looking for: - 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong Unity and C# skills, with a deep understanding of the Unity Editor and development tools.
- Experience with backend systems and APIs.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and scalable architecture.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a passion for creating world-class gaming experiences.
Bonus points for: - Experience with mobile game development (iOS and Android).
- Exposure to automated testing, asset pipelines, or cloud systems like AWS.
- Previous experience on live game projects or game jams.
