We are working with a premier art studio specializing in high-quality mobile gaming art production. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Lead 3D Artist with 5-7 years of professional experience in the gaming industry. In this role, you will create high-quality, detailed, and visually compelling game-ready 3D assets that bring game worlds to life. This position combines hands-on creation with leadership, ensuring strong visual quality, consistency, and production efficiency throughout development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertise in 3D modeling for stylized characters, environments, and props, focusing on exaggerated forms, creative shapes, and artistic detail.
- Advanced skills in texturing and shading stylized assets using tools such as Substance 3D Painter and Photoshop to create high-quality stylized or hand-painted textures.
- Proficient in implementing and validating assets in real-time engines, primarily Unity and Unreal Engine.
- Ensure correct scale, materials, lighting response, and overall in-game fidelity.
- Collaborate with art directors, designers, and animators to ensure consistent application of the stylized vision.
- Establish and refine 3D art pipelines and workflows to ensure efficient, scalable, and consistent asset production across projects.
Requirements: - 5-7 years of professional experience in the gaming industry.
- Advanced knowledge of industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Blender, 3ds Max).
- Strong proficiency in sculpting tools (e.g., ZBrush, Blender) and texturing software (e.g., Substance Suite, 3DCoat).
- Strong knowledge of UV mapping and unwrapping techniques suited for stylized models.
- Proficiency in high-poly sculpting, low-poly retopology, and baking.
- Understanding of color theory, composition, and design principles as they apply to stylized 3D art.
Good to Have: - Experience with shader basics or material setup in real-time engines.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Blender scripting).
- Experience working on shipped titles or live games.
