We are seeking an experienced Level Designer to join a premier UK games studio on their mission to create the next generation of free-to-play hits. In this role, you will take full ownership of gameplay-first levels, managing the journey from initial grey-box concepts through to final balancing and technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate abstract game visions into concrete, playable 3D spaces in Unity.
- Build robust level blockouts to test flow, sightlines, and encounter pacing.
- Set up level logic, triggers, and scriptable elements in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Analyze playtest feedback and data to iterate on layouts and difficulty curves.
- Ensure all levels meet strict performance and collision standards for mobile platforms.
Required Skills and Experience - A professional portfolio showcasing shipped work or high-quality 3D design projects.
- Technical proficiency in Unity, including experience with ProBuilder and Prefabs.
- A deep understanding of player psychology, spatial design, and environmental storytelling.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to iterate based on constructive feedback.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is essential for this onsite role.
