The Opportunity A global leader in game production services and live operations is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead our expansion in the US and LATAM markets. This role is specifically designed for a deal-maker who understands the intricacies of external development, co-production, and long-term live service management. You will be responsible for identifying publishers and developers who need world-class support to scale their existing IP or accelerate their production pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and secure high-value outsourcing and co-development contracts with Tier-1 publishers.
- Identify opportunities for "Live Ops Takeovers," where our studio manages the full lifecycle of established titles.
- Develop strategic relationships with External Development (XDev) and Procurement leads at major gaming organizations.
- Structure complex service-level agreements (SLAs) and Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
- Collaborate with internal production heads to ensure our service offerings align with market demand for Live Ops and technical art.
Required Experience - 10+ years of experience in Business Development, specifically within the games outsourcing or service provider sector.
- Proven network of contacts within External Development (XDev) and Production departments in the US/LATAM.
- Expertise in various commercial models: Time & Materials, Fixed Fee, and Revenue Share/Incentive-based Live Ops models.
- Deep understanding of the production lifecycle, from pre-production to long-term live service support.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on long-term partnership stability.
