Job Title: Senior Unreal Programmer
Location: Central Europe (Hybrid / Remote Option)
We're looking for a Senior Unreal Programmer to join our expanding team at independant studio. You'll play a key role in developing our next game, helping define architecture, implement systems, and ensure technical excellence across the board.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust game systems in Unreal Engine, covering gameplay, networking, and UI
- Propose and build scalable architectures that fit within the studio's existing frameworks
- Collaborate closely with designers, artists, and programmers to deliver technical solutions that support creative goals
- Write clear documentation and contribute to team-wide knowledge sharing
- Review code from other team members to maintain high quality and consistency
- Mentor programmers and guide best practices in your areas of expertise
Requirements: - Strong programming foundation with the ability to navigate large codebases and design maintainable systems
- Solid understanding of modern CPU architecture and performance optimization (x86 in particular)
- Familiarity with GPU architecture and rendering pipelines (preferred)
- Proven ability to deliver complex technical tasks independently
- Experience with Unreal Engine is highly desirable, but deep generalist skills in C++ are equally valued
- Strong communication, flexibility, and teamwork skills
- Excellent written and spoken English
Nice to Have: - Prior experience building or maintaining engine-level systems
- Understanding of multiplayer frameworks or low-level systems design
- A creative mindset with an appreciation for gameplay and product direction
