ABOUT THE POSITION

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sparx* is currently looking for a talented Senior FX Artist who can do his/her magic on Real-Time Game Engines. You love working on the real-time VFX pipeline, challenge yourself with the most complex VFX, and you dream of working on an entertainment IP, we are looking for passionate people who want to open their field of competency.   • Create stunning real-time visual effects for games and cinematics using a mastery of high-quality particle effects, meshes, textures, and shaders.


  • Optimize effects for performance.


  • Work with our leads and supervisors to ensure the technical and artistic quality of deliverables.


  • Work with the lead to support the team in meeting objectives by articulating an FX's artistic and technical needs.


  • Support in establishing a real-time VFX production pipeline in coordination with clients' requirements.


  • Provide technical expertise to decide which technologies to pursue and avoid.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2 years' experience as a real-time VFX artist with hands-on technical and artistic experience in Unreal Engine, Unity, or a comparable game engine.


  • Highly skilled with Photoshop or Affinity, Maya, and or 3DS Max, and Blender.


  • Strong at creating textures by either hand-painting or simulation.


  • Highly organized individual with an eye for details and a passion for sharing and mentoring.


  • Killer portfolio with a number of beautiful projects or artworks included.


  • Good working knowledge of English.


  • Do play video games.


Preferred:

  • Experience with other content creation software: Embergen, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, After Effects.


  • Experience with Houdini and dynamic simulations.


  • English proficiency is preferred.
