Social Media Content Creator & Manager
Early Access launch for their game iis in just a few months’ time, so looking for a Social Content Creator & Manager to join their community team and help with this launch to showcase the game to millions of players around the world!
This will be a fast-paced role primarily involving the creation of short-form content about the game, to be shared with their community on social platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and others.
This role will start as a short-term contract (4 months) with potential to transition into a more permanent role down the line.
Responsibilities
The key responsibility will center around creating short-form video content that will be posted directly on the game's social media accounts. This short-form content will be focused on sharing announcements about the game, providing sneak peeks at development, spreading the word about community events and initiatives, and more.
Concretely, this process will involve:
● brainstorming and coming up with ideas on videos and content to create, based on the game features that are being developed
● communicating with the community team and development teams to align on video and content ideas
● recording footage from the game client
● coordinating and organizing recording sessions with multiple people for multiplayer footage
● editing videos in post in a video editor, to create the final output
● scripting, iterating on and owning the entire production process to bring the content and videos from ideas to reality
In addition to the above, you’ll also work together with the rest of the marketing team and touch on these areas of responsibilities:
● scheduling, posting and cross-posting of video content across different social media platforms
● actively engaging with members of the community on social platforms
● writing and posting non-video content (including: carousel static posts, static image stories, and written posts such as tweets on X)
Creative Skills:
● A good sense of what performs well on social media and the ability to translate game related material into content that feels fun, shareable, and on-trend
● Strong visual storytelling skills
● Strong sense of visual taste, and a deep understanding of what constitutes work that is high quality, polished and aesthetic
● Proactive, a quick learner and self-directed: you solve problems without waiting to be asked
Technical Skills:
● Experience with video editing tools such as After Effects or DaVinci Resolve (other tools like CapCut are also acceptable)
● (Bonus - not necessary) Experience working with game and video capture pipelines and performance-friendly cinematic workflows
● (Bonus - not necessary) Proficiency with Unreal Engine 4 or 5, especially the Sequencer Tool
● (Bonus - not necessary) A solid generalist 3D art foundation, particularly animation, lighting and set-dressing
Role Details
● Engagement type: Full-time
● Contract type: 4-month contract to start, with potential for extension or transition to a more permanent arrangement down the line
● Location: Fully-remote (based in Sydney, Australia is a bonus, but not required)
● Start date: Immediately
● Pay rate: Starts at US$70,000 = AU$100,000 per-year-equivalent, negotiable depending on experience.
