We are looking for a Junior Platform Developer to support our gaming platform, advertising technology integrations, and marketing/UA-related technical operations.
This role works with platform engineers, business teams, UA/marketing teams, ad partners, vendors, and external technical teams.
The main focus is on platform development support, technical integration, debugging, QA, documentation, and operational support for game-related systems.
The role will also support advertising-related workflows, including ad tracking, campaign setup checks, GTM/CMP coordination, ads.txt updates, reporting validation, and basic UA campaign execution.
The candidate does not need to be an advertising expert, but should have a technical foundation, strong willingness to learn, attention to detail, and good communication skills in Chinese and English.
Responsibilities
- Support platform development and maintenance for game-related web services, payment flows, tracking integrations, and partner-facing technical workflows.
- Assist with technical implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of platform features, partner integrations, advertising tags, tracking pixels, campaign parameters, and reporting events.
- Support UA campaign execution, including basic media buying setup, campaign launch checks, tracking validation, performance monitoring, and coordination with UA partners.
- Help maintain and validate GTM, CMP, partner tags, anding page tracking, registration/login conversion tracking, and other advertising-related configurations.
- Perform QA across browsers, devices, countries, domains, landing pages, registration flows, payment flows, and game contexts.
- Use browser developer tools to inspect network requests, console errors, redirects, cookies, local storage, script loading, tracking calls, and player-facing issues.
- Investigate and document issues such as missing tags, broken tracking, no-fill, blocked scripts, CMP overlay problems, duplicate tracking, reporting discrepancies, callback issues, or player-facing ad errors.
- Coordinate with internal engineers, ad partners, vendors, product teams, payment/platform teams, and UA/marketing teams to collect information and follow up on technical issues.
- Help ensure advertising, tracking, and platform changes do not negatively affect player experience, registration, login, payment, or reward flows.
- Maintain technical notes, QA checklists, troubleshooting records, partner setup documentation, and handover materials.
- Translate technical and business communication between Chinese and English-speaking stakeholders.
Requirements- Fluent in Chinese and English.
- 0-4 years of experience in software development, platform development, web development, QA engineering, technical support, web operations, ad operations, UA operations, or a related field.
- Basic technical foundation in web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, HTTP, URLs, query parameters, redirects, cookies, and browser behavior.
- Able to read technical documentation and convert requirements into test steps, implementation notes, or troubleshooting records.
- Has a basic technical foundation or a strong willingness to learn technical tools and concepts, including browser developer tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow QA checklists.
- Good communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Interest in games, web platforms, advertising technology, or digital marketing technology.
Nice to Have:
- Basic experience with PHP, JavaScript, SQL, Git, APIs, logs, or web service debugging.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, InMobi CMP, affiliate tracking, or ad network dashboards.
- Familiarity with tracking pixels, conversion events, landing page tags, campaign parameters, video/display/rewarded ads, ad players, waterfalls, bidding, or no-fill troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of digital advertising metrics such as impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions, fill rate, no-fill, completion rate, revenue, eCPM, and reporting discrepancies.
- Basic understanding of CDN, DNS, CNAME, SSL, CORS, cache behavior, first-party vs third-party domains, GDPR, cookie consent, CMP, or TCF.
- Experience working with external partners, vendors, or cross-region teams.
