ATRA collaborates with game studios around the world to help build ambitious games across PC and console platforms. Our team is composed of experienced developers who care deeply about craft, collaboration and delivering high-quality game experiences.

We're looking to connect with experienced Unity client engineers to support a major live-service title.
You'd be working closely with the core tech team as an extension of the internal development group, contributing to existing systems within established workflows and standards. We're particularly interested in engineers who get up to speed quickly on an existing codebase and collaborate effectively within a team's practices.

What you'll work on:

  • Adapting and porting existing game features onto new architectural components
  • Migrating callback-based networking to a new strongly-typed, task-based networking layer
  • Modernizing asset loading and improving overall project structure
  • Integrating unit and integration test frameworks, and adding coverage to guard against regressions
  • Unifying logging, analytics and monitoring across systems
  • Collaborating with engineers across disciplines within existing CI/CD pipelines and review processes

What we're looking for:

Requirements:

  • Solid professional experience shipping and maintaining Unity games
  • Strong C# and software engineering fundamentals
  • Hands-on experience with Unity Addressables
  • Experience structuring projects with assemblies / asmdefs
  • Task-based asynchronous programming
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests
  • Comfortable rapidly navigating and contributing to large, existing codebases
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within an established team's practices and standards

Nice to have:

  • Experience on live-service games
  • Experience with RESTful client/server game architectures
  • Familiarity with Datadog (or similar monitoring/observability tooling)
  • Core tech, engine, or tools programming background
