Job description
I'm partnering with an exciting Central European game studio as they embark on their next ambitious project, following the huge success of their debut title. As they begin development of their next game, they're looking for a talented Senior Game Designer to join the team and help bring their next big success to life.
Working with a fun, talented and inspiring team, you will work as part of the game design team, working on core systems, mechanics and moment-to-moment gameplay. You'll own significant design pillars, collaborate across disciplines and help shape the creative direction.
You will:
- Design and iterate gameplay systems, progression loops, and player-facing features from concept through to launch
- Work directly in balance sheets to tune and maintain game economy and stats
- Create and configure new in-game assets, ensuring they're designed, balanced, and integrated to a high standard
- Translate high-level creative vision into detailed, actionable design documentation
- Work closely with engineering, art, and production to bring mechanics to life
- Conduct and interpret playtests, using data and player feedback to drive decisions
- Contribute to the studio's design language and long-term product vision
You will need:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in game design.
- Deep understanding of player psychology, engagement loops and game feel
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities
- Extensive knowledge of Unreal engine
- Excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and an inspiring strong work ethic
- Excellent written and spoken English
