The Game UI/UX Designer is an integral part of the Game Art team and is the main conduit for functional UI design, flow, and consistency. This position focuses both on great user interaction and creating final art for user interfaces. This position involves creating new UI solutions from scratch, as well as working within established guidelines and practices when dealing with existing products. Past experience should be at least 3+ years as a visual designer. Your portfolio should show a clear understanding of Game UX design principles as it relates to navigation, conveying information, and game play, as well as, a range of unique styles of user interfaces.

    • Support the game design team in the creation of mock-ups, flows, and wireframes
    • Create compelling UI screens and assets in collaboration with Game Designers and other UI Artists
    • Design and explore high fidelity mockups, iconography and other designs needed for mobile screens in a time sensitive manner
    • Create wireframes and layouts using appropriate tools
    • Create unique menus, designs and assets for our games
    • Communicate regularly with end users to validate your design
    • Work with game engineers and designers on executing against your mock-up
    • Collaborate with design, engineering, CS, QA, and other cross-functional teams
    • Able to have the foresight to what the end user “really” needs
    • Incorporate usability testing feedback
    • 3+ years as a UX designer, UI designer or in a similar position
    • Expert knowledge of UX/UI design for games
    • Knowledgeable on best practices for presenting complex data on small screens
    • Strong understanding of flow, composition, and design for mobile experience
    • Excellent conceptual and graphic design skills
    • Proficiency in Adobe CC, Sketch, Invision, and other relevant design and development tools
    • Excellent critical thinking skills
    • Flexibility to work in a design iterative environment and multiple projects
    • Detail oriented, organized and an aptitude for learning and taking direction well
    • Ability to work very quickly and under tight deadlines, but still produce high quality work
    • Experience in creating Game interface for a consumer facing product
    • Knowledge of HTML/CSS
    • Worked on tools catering to MMOs
    • Bachelor's degree in design / graphic design, or HCI
    • Experience with mobile UX/UI
    • Clear understanding of current mobile game trends
    • Exceptional communicator
