Senior UE4 Rendering Programmer in Amsterdam

As a Senior Rendering Programmer at this studio in Amsterdam, you will be responsible for several areas of engine programming. This will include creating new graphical features for artists, identifying bugs within the engine and rectifying them and mentoring the programming team to facilitate their career development.

Senior UE4 Rendering Programmer responsibilities:
Ensure engine expansions fit the complete code base, working with the tech lead
Work with artist to identify the visual requirements for the project
Create technical designs and efficient implementation of engine systems and adjustments
Expand the studio pipeline to create the best immersive games possible
Create new graphical features to assist in the art team’s efficiency in creating the highest visual standards
Identify and debug any problems quickly
Mentor less experienced programmers within the team
Essential requirements for this role in Amsterdam:
Significant experience of working on game engines (ideally UE4) to create functionality to be used in games
Experience of writing game engine adjustments in C++
Strong understanding of all basic concepts of C++ as a language
Knowledge of more advanced concepts of C++ such as overloading, smart pointer types, templates, etc.
Previous experience of Unreal Engine 4
Experience of working in VR would be a huge bonus
