Build a Rocket Boy Games are searching for a Senior QA Analyst to add to a very experienced workforce. This is a brand new position and an amazing opportunity to join a varied and growing team where you will have the chance to define the processes for your own department.
As a Senior QA Analyst, your responsibilities will consist of…
Effectively surveying the performance of QA Analysts and Game Testers assigned to their area of the game, while mentoring junior members of the QA department
Monitoring and acting upon tickets that are entered into the bug reporting database, to ensure current policies are adhered to, all relevant fields are populated correctly and all necessary attachments are included
Consistently entering bugs into the database, ensuring all relevant information is correct and all required attachments are included
Continually evaluating processes and procedures and suggest improvements to QA Manager and/or Lead QA Analysts.
Ensuring all areas of the game, features and assets are tested, including those areas off the critical path.
Compiling and maintaining relevant documentation to verify the state of new content/features as and when requested
Creating and distributing test plans to ensure that your area of the game and all related features and assets are tested comprehensively, assuring the game is evaluated for both quality and functionality, including success as well as fail conditions
Performing comprehensive sweeps of game areas and feedback results as and when requested.
Gathering information on and escalate any risks/serious issues to the relevant parties as soon as they are identified.
Completing any ad hoc requests for tasks from senior members of the QA team as well as the wider development staff as and when required.
The key skills and experience you'll bring to the role…
You will have at least a few years of expertise testing video games (preferably console titles), as well as previous experience guiding and helping junior members of staff. Bonus points if you have a background in compliance testing for consoles and/or holding a previous lead or senior role responsible for testing a designated area of a game.
