Senior Level Designer - Birmingham, UK

Over the past 30 years, this developer has consistently developed innovative and successful racing games. Their Birmingham studio has a rich and unrivalled heritage of multiple award-winning racing games such as the F1 franchise, and these titles embody the organisation’s core values of passion, quality, continuous innovation, and an all-encompassing ambition to be the world leader in what they do.

Working in a passionate close-knit team that ensures your voice does not get lost in the crowd, you will deliver ‘AAA’ racing games within a studio that will value and recognise your contributions.

After another successful decade the studio is gearing itself up for developing the next generation of cutting edge racing products and they are looking to expand their core design team with a handful of experienced hires, including a Senior Level Designer.

As the studio’s new Senior Level Designer, you will use your substantial experience to design, produce, implement, and document assets and procedures for assigned projects. Ensuring gameplay and overall quality exceeds the high standards required, within reasonable specified timescales.

You will:

  • Demonstrate an extensive knowledge and a high level of proficiency with current tools and pipeline.
  • Assess the work completed by immediate colleagues with a view to suggesting enhancements and driving forward quality standards.
  • Play test and balance all owned areas of the game, in line with the vision and direction as set by the Design team.
  • Liaise effectively with the Level Design team and other co-dependant job roles.
  • Report progress to Line Manager and inform them of any implementation issues as they arise.
