The position of Senior IT Support Technician, reporting to the Director of IT, is a technical support role in the IT department at Build A Rocket Boy Games Ltd.Provide first line technical support to all staff as first point of contact. Set up workspaces and hardware to accommodate new starts and visitors to the studio. Diagnose and repair issues with desktop hardware. Support users with software installation and license processes. Support the IT department with server and application administration, particularly Windows Server and Group Policy. Perform general housekeeping of IT equipment and areas. Document and maintain internal IT procedures. Support the rest of the IT department in project and engineering tasks. Requirements:Previous experience in a technical support role. Interest in and experience of working in the gaming industry is a plus. Strong experience with Windows-based operating systems, Active Directory and Group Policy. Ability to specify and build desktop-grade gaming PCs from scratch. Strong interpersonal communication skills in English and Hungarian (written and spoken). Experience working with network hardware, TCP/IP networking concepts and topologies. High level of personal intuition - the ability to research and solve problems independently. A strong customer-service focus and mindset. Desire to work in a fast-paced, high growth, challenging environment. General familiarity and awareness with gaming hardware is a plus. Ability to work full-time based in Budapest, Hungary.
This position involves being at the frontline of desktop support as well as supporting 3 rd line operations within the business. You will be maintaining a high level of operational efficiency across the studio.
As Senior IT Support Technician you will work with users every day to prevent and solve technical problems, applying your knowledge and customer-focused attitude to deliver a positive experience.
Alongside this, you will apply your experience with server and application administration to assist engineering teams within the IT department in a support capacity.
