A successful games studio in Manchester is expanding and have received recent sign-off on an Unreal Engine 4 horror title! They are looking to grow their studio to work on what is set to be a ground breaking project for one of the world's largest publishers; and now they need YOU!

They are currently looking at expanding our team up to 30 by March/April 2020, They will be bringing the development of world-class games to market with new IP creation always at its heart. This will be done through co-development opportunities and working on future-facing platforms which means further expansion into a different genre of games and technologies.

They are seeking an experienced Senior Environment Artist to work on a globally recognised, AAA cross-platform title. You will get to collaborate with a dedicated and talented team that has delivered an amazing catalogue of quality games. Come and join their successful and expanding studio!

REQUIRED:

  • 4+ years’ experience working on published video game titles or similar
  • Thorough understanding of environment art pipelines from concept to completion
  • Ability to create interesting, detailed and visually appealing environments
  • Expert levels of High and Low Polygon modelling
  • Expert level of Maya/Modo, Substance Painter and ZBrush experience
  • Strong understanding of PBR
  • Experience of production level shader work
  • Experience using current-generation game engines (Unity/Unreal 4)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Able to prioritise and multi-task
  • Ability to work in a team, under deadlines and time constraints
  • Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction and motivation

 

BONUS:

  • Proficiency in 3D packages such as Max/Maya/Modo/Zbrush
  • Excellent texturing skills in both Photoshop and Substance Painter
  • Thorough knowledge of PBR workflow in Substance painter/designer and Quixel mixer
  • Working experience of game engines such as Unreal and Unity
  • A portfolio demonstrating breath-taking hard surface modelling and texturing techniques
