Senior Character Artist

I'm working with Unbroken Studios, based within Los Angeles County,so find a talented Senior Character Artist! They're a team made up of 40+ veteran video game developers, who have worked on some of the biggest titles of the last twenty years; including blockbuster franchises Battlefield, Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, and God of War.
You will be moving into a fantastic, modern, open-plan studio that promotes collaborative working. The studio itself prides itself on a work hard, play hard mentality with BBQ and movie nights throughout the year. Who wouldn't want to have monthly BBQs in the sun?
Your day-to-day will include:
Creating AAA quality characters and creatures (Sculpt, Model, UV, textures and materials)
Working closely with the development leads to ensure the visual target is always exceeded and stylistically consistent
Actively participating in technical and aesthetic problem-solving discussions for the entire project
Mentoring junior artists by providing creative and technical training, guidance, and feedback
The skills and XP you'll need to succeed in this position include:
High proficiency in Maya, Z-Brush, Marvelous Designer and Substance Designer / Painter
5+ years industry experience
Excellent high and low poly modeling skills
A portfolio demonstrating a range of character modeling styles
Fantastic texture and shader creation within a PBR pipeline
Strong knowledge of human and animal anatomy, materials and garb
Solid grasp of color theory and lighting techniques for quality presentation and the best player experience
Competent with proprietary tools and development pipelines
Must be receptive to art direction and critiques from project art leads
Strong foundation in traditional art
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with producers, programmers, designers, as well as artists
These skills and competencies, although not strictly required, will net you BONUS POINTS:
Experience with Unreal Engine 4
Knowledge of rig creation and skinning of verts
Character and prop ideation and concept development skills
Scripting experience in Python or MEL
Background in portrait painting, photography or cinematography
