Programmers... Bored of the same old 9-5 office based role? Do you hate spending most of your life in an office away from home? If flexible working hours and an option to work from home sound like your sort of thing, we might just have the perfect role for you!

You'd be joining a small, fast and flexible team of developers which means you would have a massive impact on the end result of the titles you work on! When you're in the office, you'll be based in the lovely picturesque town of Leamington Spa, in the heart of a massive games industry hub with the likes of Ubisoft and Playground Games just a stone’s throw away!

“What will I be doing?” I hear you ask!

You will be responsible for the design and development of microservices to support new game features. You will also be involved in the rest of the team’s backend work by providing technical oversight, support and code review. As an experienced backend developer, you will be encouraged to contribute to the analysis and pragmatic selection of technologies and paradigms we use, and to the overall quality, reliability, scalability, and performance of our online services.

"The skills I'll need?"

  • You must have extensive experience delivering backend services - through design, development, deployment, release, and servicing.
  • You must have a high level of skill in NodeJS or Go.
  • You should have experience working with cloud platforms, ideally Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.
  • You would ideally have experience working with Linux containers, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
  • You should have a keen eye for deconstructing problems and an architectural mindset.
  • You must have a strong interest in trends and developments in cloud technology.
  • You must have excellent communication skills, especially with regard to collaborative technical design, knowledge sharing, and driving high standards.

Keep Calm and waka waka...
