You'll be joining the studio in the incredibly exciting position of Senior 3D Artist within their brand new office in London! Your task will be to work with the team and help set the standard for 3D.

Hutch Games have small teams and like generalists who can cover a variety of tasks, a selection of which can be found below:

Leverage a number of different disciplines to create quality art for hit games

Take the initiative with your work and use good decision making skills to communicate and share your work with the team

Lead by example within the art department and be a brand advocate for Hutch

Make best in class environments and hero assets that inspire the team

Help the AD with tasks such as estimating, task management, and documentation

Mentor the team members and raise the expertise bar within the studio

Own projects outside of 3D modelling and texturing dependent on experience

The skills and XP you'll need to succeed:

Creative and passionate about games, with proven games industry experience

Comfortable working in a fast paced and agile environment, with the ability to change between different art styles according to the needs of the product

Great communication skills with a passion to share your work, techniques and mentorship know-how

You know how to create polished and distinct gameplay and environment assets with a great eye for silhouette and composition

Excellent 3D skills in both high and low poly

Experience with hard surface and organic modelling, cars, environment objects, and landscapes

The ability to create simple, clean looking textures without an over reliance on noise overlays or photo sources

Can demonstrate a good use of real time shaders.

Familiar with setting up materials such as water, metals, and vegetation

A strong understanding of lighting principles and experience with either in-game or pre-rendered tools

Understanding of technical art and optimisation constraints

Expert knowledge of a major 3D package such as Maya, Max or Modo

Experience with sculpting packages such as ZBrush or Mudbox
