Summary:

On the Naughty Dog Multiplayer Team, we strive to find the intersection point between the incredible theming our award winning games are known for and the sweaty competitive matches our fans have come to love. The programmers on our team are entrusted to use the extent of their creativity to build the systems needed to achieve this goal.

We are looking for a gameplay programmer who loves multiplayer games and has a passion to collaborate with developers across the entire studio to help bring to life a diverse set of features. As a creative member of the team, you will work closely with design to iterate on new game mechanics to make them fun while keeping them competitive. With the freedom to dive into any part of the code to get your job done, you will use all the tools in your programmer toolbox to solve the industry’s most challenging problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Design and Art teams to bring ideas and new gameplay features into the game
  • Programming content like character motion, animation, weapons, user interface, scripting, and networking
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Strong math skills with emphasis on 3D math
  • Strong knowledge of C and C++ programming languages
  • Possesses the ability and drive to contribute and advance all aspects of a game

Pluses:

  • Console programming experience
  • Passion for playing and developing exceptional multiplayer games

As part of the Naughty Dog application process, candidates should expect to be given a technical interview.
