Lead Game Designer in Berlin

Are you a Game Designer that knows mobile and F2P game design inside out, and you’re equally comfortable leading a team or knuckling down to create high quality designs?

This highly diverse studio is looking for talented individuals with a passion for the games industry to join them in creating high-quality mobile games, to offer players the most seamless experience possible.

As a Lead Game Designer, you will lead, collaborate, improve, inspire and analyse to provide the best game design around. In return for your passion for the role, you will be offered a great relocation package to make you feel at home and settled in this beautiful city.

Lead Game Designer Responsibilities:

Lead, manage and develop the team of game designers through your own high standards and with clearly defined goals, milestone and mentoring.

Work closely with the wider studio to deliver new game features and events that are highly engaging and delivered on time

Oversee all aspects of the studio’s game design processes and identify aspects that need improvement including (but not limited to) UI, UX, monetization, pipelines etc.

Use your extensive background in mobile game design to understand the features and content needed to excite and engage players

Take time to appreciate and understand competitors, their successes and what this means about the market

Requirements for this role in Berlin:

8 or more years of experience as a Game Designer in the games industry, preferably all if not most of this time within mobile games

4 or more years of experience in a leading position within game design

Extensive background of work with live ops, f2p and agile development

Experience working with a range of designers with a range of specialities to understand and appreciate the difference in each role

Previous roles that require speaking and presenting to large crowds and the ability to communicate effectively using a range of tools such as slideshows, spreadsheets etc

Very comfortable with KPIs for free to play titles and can use your practiced analytical skills to understand and maximise with your conclusions across game pacing, balancing and game systems.

You work as efficiently alone as you do within the team and consider yourself a true team player that will ensure your team and the wider studio are always motivated and valued.
