A little bit about the city: Eindhoven
Eindhoven is a hub for highly skilled people that come from all over, with an estimated 40,000 here who originated elsewhere. The city is all about technology with some of the most prestigious high-tech companies in Europe having their headquarters here. The good news is that work/life balance is important to the Dutch, meaning a lot of people only have a four-day working week, meaning you might get to enjoy a three day weekend! There is a large expat community just north of the city centre in Meerhoven, which is also situated next to the international airport – connecting the city to over 80 destinations. Eindhoven doesn’t benefit from a tram or subway system unlike other large cities in The Netherlands but the bus service is very reliable, which is handy from getting you from A to B around the city, however, cycling is the most popular choice of transportation for residents!
Keep Calm and waka waka...
