Are you tired of working on the same project day in and day out, or are you just looking for a change of pace? How does working with a studio with 20+ years of industry experience, based in beautiful Berlin, sound? Are you eager to learn more? How about if I said they were working on an exciting AAA project?

As an independent studio, with a team of 90+ developers at their disposal, your new team are working hard to bring their vision of gaming to life, and are experiencing a period of continued growth. 

You'll be leading a small team who are working on a cutting edge AAA first-person shooter, with plenty of exciting monsters to animate, a comedic narrative, and a unique art style. 

They're looking for a skilled Lead Animator to join their ranks to work on this self-published title. You will be responsible for leading and supporting the team, ensuring that the animation is of the highest quality. 

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Leading the creation of believable in-game animations
  • Working closely together with the animation department and other disciplines of the team
  • Communicating goals and values to the team and ensuring that they remain on task
  • Working closely with art and creative direction to ensure a high quality of animation that will support the vision of the game
  • Providing feedback for animators and ensuring the animation vision is consistent across different features
  • Troubleshooting and solving technical production issues
  • Mastering in-house tools and driving improvements
  • Overseeing the maintenance of animations after they are implemented
  • Working closely with small interdisciplinary teams in order to achieve features that are more than the sum of their parts
  • Estimating high-level goals and providing solutions to high-level problems in planning
  • Ensuring team members have clear goals and know the deadlines and technical restrictions
  • Playing a significant role in review cycles, both in providing feedback for coworkers and improving based on feedback
  • Motivating, mentoring and spreading knowledge to other team members


Essential XP and skills required to succeed:

  • Experience working on high-quality PC or Console titles with a portfolio to evidence this
  • A history of mentoring other Animators as a Senior or Lead Animator
  • Competent with game engines


Not strictly required but the below will get you BONUS POINTS:

  • Technical animations skills such as rigging and skinning
  • AAA FPS experience
