Lead Animator (Remote Options)

d3t - Runcorn, UK

How do you like the sound of leading a close and talented animation team on projects ranging from top-shelf AAA titles to indie PC games? As the Lead Animator at d3t you’ll be doing just that!

In their 10th successful year, and as part of the global Keywords Studio Group, d3t are a delivery powerhouse within the UK games development scene. d3t specialise in co-development projects for some of the biggest games in the industry. Their work can be found on titles such as Mafia II, The Witcher 3, and Human: Fall Flat, as well as many more they can’t yet talk about just yet!

With a studio that contains over 110 talented developers across a wide spectrum of disciplines and experience you'll be hard-pressed to find a studio where your skills would be better utilised.

As d3t's new Lead Animator you will take the reigns and lead a tight knit team of technical and regular animators, with the potential to add new members to your squad over the coming months.

You will be relatively hands-on for a Lead position and will be expected to lead by example with animation techniques and principles. You will work closely with the Production and Art Management teams, collaborating where required. The role may also include an element of client-facing activity at times.

For this role you should be a skilled animator in a Senior or Lead position within the games industry. You'll have a good, professional knowledge of Maya or similar 3D Art packages and be very familiar with either UE4 or Unity.

Although not essential, experience working in Animation for an outsourcing studio and existing leadership experience would be seen as desirable extras.

d3t are well known for being a great place to work, picking up a GI.biz 'Best Places To Work' award in 2020. d3t place employee welfare at the forefront of their culture, with the studio’s offices, workday and additional activities all geared towards employee wellbeing.
