We are Britain's biggest independent publisher and developer of videogames, based among the world-leading technology cluster in the historic city of Cambridge, England.Lead the development and implementation of a strategic plan for IT, and ensure the plan remains fit for purpose as the company continues to grow Proactively develop IT policies and processes to support the business strategy Analyse the business requirements of all departments to evaluate and deliver their technology needs Leadership and development of IT team of 10+, consisting of System Administration and Desktop Support Helpdesk Provide executive summary of analysis, requirements, progress and monitoring to Director of Operations Accountability for all security, network, server and infrastructure issues and development Continuously improve the support function for internal issues and reduce queries per month Work with procurement to build relationships with vendors and create cost-efficient contracts Overall accountability for a substantial IT budget, purchasing technological equipment and software for current and future business needs in an efficient and cost-effective way. Identify and provide best practice IT and security training requirements across the company. About you Proven experience as a Head of IT or similar role Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications Willing to be “hands on” to help get the job done when the situation requires it Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc. Experience in managing an IT budget Strong track record as an IT leader who has grown and developed teams Experienced negotiator, dealing with multiple departments and vendors Excellent stakeholder management up to C-level. Reporting to the Director of Operations in this newly created role, the Head of IT will lead on all aspects of a complex and strategically important IT function for our talented teams of highly technical game developers and publishing professionals. You'll also work as a key part of the senior management team driving IT strategy and commercial development in our growing company (we're currently 450 people).
